Research Interests:

  • Computational mechanics, fracture mechanics, computational structural dynamics and acoustics.

  • The boundary element method (see An Introduction to the BEM), especially the fast multipole and adaptive cross approximation BEM (FastBEM) for solving large-scale engineering problems.

  • Large-scale, multi-scale and multi-physics modeling of composites, nanomaterials, and biomaterials.

  • Large-scale modeling of acoustic and elastic wave propagation problems.

  • BEM software development (FastBEM software).
